Combined effect of treatment with intrauterine antimicrobials and GnRH on the conception rate of repeat breeder Frieswal cattle

Repeat breeding in cattle inversely affects the profitability of dairy industry by decreasing conception rate. Selected 18 repeat breeder cows reared under ideal farm conditions and divided them to three groups six animals each viz., group I, II III with four primiparous two second parity group. The I were treated intrauterine preparation containing aqueous solution povidone iodine (5%w/v) metronidazole (1%w/v) (Utrodin IU), followed uterine lavage 120 mL normal saline inseminated oestrus after skipping first heat. an IM injection buserelin acetate (Gynarich) post AI. both Utrodin IU Gynarich rate observed 66.67% (4/6 cows), cows) 83.33% (5/6 respectively. results study indicated that combined use iodine, along GnRH was more satisfactory than their individual improving Frieswal Kerala.Â
